Werewolf Disco Club by I Hate Models, released 24 September 2021
1. Werewolf Disco Club
The kick cuts through the trees like a scythe, calling out to her, drawing her closer. It comes from every direction, the purr of the bass slipping through the forest like low-hanging mist.
The primal, metronomic pressure of the beat enmeshes with his lycanthropic howl. The sound is everywhere, and impossible to get a fix on. It rains down from on high, sticking her cloak to her skin and slicking his fur. It rises from the earth, seeping between her toes.
Within this secret glade they meet, alone except for the rotting leaves and creeping moss. Here they become one, disparate egos dissolved in a cocktail of chemical impulses, dopamine responses and the instinctive urgency of the sound that surrounds and consumes them.
On the second single on his Disco Inferno label, I Hate Models exudes the mysterious, ancient power of the werewolf, and invites you to join him in one last dance.
100,000 Ink mass release on My werewolf system of four chapters!
According to Jake, this is a family curse that was passed down to him by his father. Jake doesn’t need a full moon to change, just the night. And that change comes with a range of difficult emotions. Luckily for Jake, he already has a support system in place with Molly. She’s utterly unafraid of him, even when he’s a werewolf. This suggests that she’s been aware of his secret for some time now.
Like vampires, some werewolves have the ability of the Cursed Bite. These bites infect Sims with Werebies, the dreaded disease that will eventually turn you into a werewolf. However, only powerful werewolves have this ability, and, if you want them to even consider turning you, you’ll need to make sure you’re at least friends, otherwise they’ll turn you away.
It’s easy enough to become a werewolf – my chosen victim, ‘Trent Gnorkum’, a beach bro who loves to tan, simply made friends with werewolf elder Kristopher Volkov (who mostly roams around the Moonwood Mill Library area) and asked for a little nip.
After the first transformation, they end up passing out and waking on the peak of a high mountain in Moonwood Mill, where they gain their first werewolf temperament, based on their personality. In my case, Trent immediately gained a dislike of being indoors for too long, which was later compounded by a temperament that meant he gained more Fury while indoors.
Every character in the werewolf hometown of Moonwood Mill has a story to tell, but perhaps the most interesting — and certainly the most elusive — is Greg. No last name, just: Greg. This new NPC was teased heavily in promotional materials prior to the pack’s release, but although he does appear in the game itself, he’s a tricky wolfman to track down. There’s nothing like a mystery to get Sims players rallied around a pre-made character, so on this page we’ll be sharing all the good Greg gossip, including where to find him, details about how he behaves in the game, and why your Sim might want to make the effort to track him down.
Alternatively, you can set out to try to befriend Greg, if you’re feeling particularly brave. He won’t usually attack human Sims, spellcasters, etc. on sight like he would a vampire or werewolf, so there’s a small chance of a friendly reception for those life states, even if I wouldn’t personally bank on it. There’s even an informal challenge growing in The Sims 4’s community which requires you to get “Gregnant”, which is an absolutely horrendous portmanteau that’s been lodged in my brain ever since I first heard it, and now I have passed my curse onto you. But it does demonstrate that befriending and even romancing Greg is, theoretically, feasible. Just don’t ask me what happens if you move him in with you; I suspect it’ll break the Lone Wolf aspiration for that whole save. And erm, good luck, I guess.
Fortunately, losing a fight to Greg doesn’t have any particular long-term consequences if you’re already a werewolf. If at first you don’t succeed, take a few in-game hours to lick your wounds and wait for the negative moodlets to wear off before trying again. So, once more, I wish you good luck!
A Sim in Werewolf form appears as an anthropomorphic wolf, having a wolf head and completely covered in fur. The werewolf form differs in appearance due to the extent of customization available in Create a Sim; having many different ears, faces, fangs, scars, teeth, claws, etc. available for selection, as well as many colors and patterns for their fur, and even the ability to customize the pelt with a paint system.
Werewolves can cure themselves of lycanthropy after gaining the “Lunar Epiphany” dormant ability. This ability is acquired by reading ancient wolf writings, and tells how to create a cure. After learning how to create the cure, a Sim must obtain 3 moonpetal and 9 wolfsbane flowers, both of which can be found in Moonwood Mills’ surrounding area and from exploring the underground. The Sim can then make a glass of “Wolf-B-Gone” from a bar and voluntarily drink the cure. Werewolf toddlers and children cannot take the Wolf-B-Gone cure, but can drink it when they are older.
