Manga shizuka

In the 2005 anime, Shizuka’s height was shortened and her hair was changed to black to match the artwork in the manga, and mostly wore a pink shirt and a dark blue skirt, in some episodes she would wear a dress. In recent movies, Shizuka has brown eyes. Overall, much of Shizuka’s appearance has remained the same over the years, with some small and sometimes unnoticeable changes.

One of the manga’s highlights is the three main characters, who are deep despite the short plot. Shizuka lives only with her mom, who works either as an escort or a prostitute (or both) and her family is poor. They have a dog, who is important to the plot. Her dad divorced her mom years prior.

A pivotal turn in Akira’s life came when he crossed paths with Shizuka. She has captured his heart, even though he occasionally finds himself admiring other women. This might be seen as a warning sign, yet Akira is a human with desires that sometimes get the better of him. In the manga, their connection becomes even stronger after Akisa confesses his feelings to her. This was met with initial rejection by Shizuka, only to later reveal that she, too, holds feelings for him. However, she’s a Tsundere who has difficulty expressing herself.

While Akira and Shizuka have openly expressed their mutual affection, a full-fledged romantic relationship hasn’t materialized yet in the storyline. Despite this, both are more than love-dovey at this point in the manga, even though it’s not overly expressed. Their relationship is charged with unspoken romantic energy and connection. Let’s hope the author doesn’t take their sweet time, dragging out their will-they-won’t-they . Given how the story is going, we may never see them living a full life. Akira may be well dead by the time he completes his bucket list.

Doraemon, a manga series by the celebrated manga artist Fujiko F. Fujio, is beloved in Japan and throughout the world. This faded blue cover portrays a storyline in which Nobita is distracted by his friend and love interest, Shizuka. The illustrations are taken from the story “A Cat Starts a Company” in volume 15 of the Doraemon comic book published by Shogakukan under their Tentomushi label.
