Manga artist over the moon after McDonald’s features ‘Hataraku Maou-sama!’ in promo video
At the six-second mark, a short clip taken from “Hataraku Maou-sama!” can be seen. It features the devil disguised as Sadao Maou, who works at a fictional version of McDonald’s in the manga and anime series called MgRonald’s.
Written by Satoshi Wagahara and illustrated by Oniku (written as “029”), “Hataraku Maou-sama!” was initially released as a light novel series with 30 volumes from 2011 to 2020. Since then, it has seen a manga adaptation, a spin-off manga series and a 13-episode anime series, among others.
Hataraku Saibou! (Cells at Work!) Manga Spinoffs We Want to See Animated
An anime of this summer season that ends is Hataraku no Saibou, the anime adaptation of the manga of the same name by Akane Shimizu. The unique story of this once-in-a-lifetime “Japanese human body” has turned out to be a phenomenon among anime fans and that is why Tokyo MX, the channel where this anime is broadcast, will stream this animated series starting in October.
