Tying the Knot with an Amagami Sister Vol 1 is a Romantic Comedy that gives a wholesome, slapstick and some fanservice for comedic effect. This is set with the lead characters 14-20 and all completely different tropes. Messy, artsy, try hard, dead parents, cutesy, and more make it so you can latch on to someone to enjoy in this series. The ML is not remotely looking for love and is looking to study hard to go to medical school and finds himself faced with three young women and possibly being forced to pick one as his future wife to have a place to call home while he studies. This Manga brings quintessential vibes with the sisters and how different they are and how. They respond to the ML but a more endearing ML but also for some reason reminded me of March comes in like a lion.Definitely recommend if you are okay with fanservice.
Thank you Netgalley for the eARC! I picked this up because of the shrine setting and the cover looked fun. However, there was just a ton of fan service and boobies in the manga. The male MC kept getting caught in compromising positions, which is a very common trope, but I felt like it was a bit overused here. It’s like every few pages he ran into boobs. He also has to pick a sister to marry, and they are all within his age range, although marrying the youngest sister would be a sketchy match since she’s only 14. The second half of the volume where he goes through the marriage interviews with each sister was nice in the sense that we got to see more of each girl’s personality. I wasn’t planning to continue the series, but the dream plot twist at the end made me want to find out what happens next. All in all, this was an ok manga.
Chocotto Sister is a manga written by Go Zappa and illustrated by Sakura Takeuchi, which was serialized in Young Animal from 2003 to 2007. It was later adapted to a 24-episode anime series in 2006.
