“Blue lock : The Movie Episode : Nagi” is a cinematic masterpiece. It tells the full story of the anime in Nagis point of view in the best way possible and delves into the charecter of Nagi soo much. And the ending and end credits scene was perfect. I loved the whole “Isagi is the villain and Nagi is the hero” style of the story, and the score of the film was perfect. The theatre experience made the movie even better. My only complaint was that it went thru the matches a little too fast, but that isn’t really a complaint. Overall, the movie captured the story of the original anime and manga and shot it perfectly. Must recommend for anime, football lovers and to the people who watched the anime or read the manga.
The way the characters interact is really interesting! Instead of having everyone team up and having the usual “power of friendship” scenario, the characters work individually which i found really interesting! The way the story is told is very smooth and there aren’t any confusing plot points. All the characters have cool designs and I really like their development and backstories! The mangaka is a football genius for real!!!! Please please please do yourself a favor and read blue lock!!
A mad young coach gathers soccer players from across the country to compete in a series of bizarre challenges in a high-tech colosseum he calls Blue Lock. It’s a no-balls-barred battle to become Japan’s next top striker, in this –meets–World Cup manga, now available in print!
So, with this primary goal in mind, we now have the cliff each character can fall off, now how does Blue Lock use that to build a clear and defined character arc for practically everyone on this singular journey? If you read the title of this post (or if you haven’t, you may do so now, I’ll wait), you’ll know the answer: calculable goals. Having something clearly at stake is always going to help make a nice clean stage with which the story can perform, but part two of this necessary step is what those stakes do for the characters. Because if they’re just walking along the cliffside, shooting the shit, that doesn’t make for great storytelling.
